Hooray for A

Teaching Tool Breakdown

ABC Video songs are great for students to develop phonemic awareness.

Each song provides visual and auditory examples of vocabulary that contains the featured letter so that students hear how the featured letter sounds in different words. On-screen text reinforces where the letter appears in the word -- providing teachers opportunities to discuss with their students letter and vowel sounds. Animated examples of vocabulary help children learn new words. Just to note, most of the vocabulary words presented in each song are words that start with that letter.

Sample text from the letter B song is:

B, B, B, B, buh B, B, B is for boogie. You can't boogie without B. Behold the barnacle at the beach. Birds and bears like breadsticks.

Sample text from the letter A song is:

Hooray for A! A is amazing. Hooray for A! A’s a big part of your day! Hooray for A. A can do almost anything.

Use these videos to teach new words that are sure to impress their parents when they ask their kids what they learned at school today!
